Wannsee Conference - 1942
The conference in 1942 was designed to answer "the final solution" - the elimination of the entire Jewish population. Based upon the site, http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/holocaust/h-wannsee.htm, this was about 11 million Jews that was written down. They discussed the deportation and the execution of all Jews. At first, Jews were shot to death. This proved to be very costly so the Germans decided to use other ways of execution. Jews were then placed in buses with the exhaust put back into the buses so that they were gassed to death. This process took too long for the Germans. They then were transported to Concentration camps to speed everything up. They placed hundreds of people in train cars without food or water and were bolted in. Many died on the way to the concentration camp. When they were released into the camps, they were told to take showers. The showers were a gassing chamber where they died. When bodies piled up, they were forced to burn the bodies instead of burying them because there were too many bodies.
